Impregnated Sawn and Planed Timber - Maintenance
Surface treatment is always made on clean wood surface. Terrace washing detergent, sold by most timber stores and hardware shops, can be used to clean a terrace with stuck-on dirt.
Impregnated wood becomes grey due to ultraviolet radiation. A right surface treatment extends the service life and refreshes the outlook of wood. Finishing products suitable for Impregnated wood are wood oils, transparent or covering protective compounds, latex paints and oil paints for outdoor use. Durable finishing can be achieved when wood is dry enough, u < 20%. Brown impregnated wood is especially recommended to be treated with brown wood oil because dark colours absorb more ultraviolet light thus causing alternations in colour.
